Job Description:

1. Work with sales to build and grow the foundry design-win funnel. This includes opportunity qualification, engagement and closure to grow revenue while maintaining profitability.

2. Develop product (foundry process or technology node) placement and messaging that differentiates the portfolio in the marketplace. This includes working with sales to identify new markets and opportunities to grow revenue.

3. Plan, manage and execute all foundry marketing activities during the life cycle of a process or technology node. Create and deploy compelling presentation collateral to clearly communicate the value of UMC solutions to the customer and end-users to drive adoption.

4. Drive comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape and build strategies to address gaps.

5. Drive the business case (MRD) including scope, schedule, resources, demand, pricing model and winning strategy to deliver a process or technology solution at returns consistent with UMC growth objectives.

6. Create a sense of urgency and drive clarity across multi-functional teams to achieve business objectives. Identify issues and address them head-on using data to move complex multi-site programs forward.

7. Serve as a champion of UMC technology solutions with strong external presence at technology conferences, trade shows, webinars, etc.

8. Must be able to work flexible hours for calls with Asia.

Job Requirement
Years of Experience:

Education:
University degree or above.
Major:
Materials Science, Engineering or related field plus a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
Foreign Language Requirement:
Excellent oral, written, analytical and presentation skills.
Dialect Language Requirement:
Professional working proficiency in Mandarin a plus.
Other requirement:

1. Good understanding of semiconductor industry, specifically, semiconductor manufacturing (foundry) and overall semiconductor product lifecycle.

2. Experience in business and technical media relations and issues management.

3. Ability to devise communications plans and create related materials.

4. A team player with the ability to work across diverse cross-functional teams located worldwide. Comfortable with foreign work cultures and customs.

5. Independent, self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable operating in ambiguity, with a strong mindset of ownership and accountability.

6. Excellent oral, written, analytical and presentation skills.
